About Academic Associates Learning Centers

The Grand Terrace center opened 7 years ago. Academic Associates Learning Centers provides reading, writing, math and test preparation for students of all ages. Most students who complete the Academic Associates Reading Program gain at least 3 grade levels of improvement in only 30-60 hours. Academic Associates Learning Centers has added an Early Literacy program that provides students ages 4-6 in need of preschool enrichment or homeschooling assistance the opportunities to learn and grow at their own pace. Academic Associates Learning Centers provides after school tutoring for students who face even the most difficult learning challenges like dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, or auditory processing issues. Academic Associates Learning Centers even provides resources for older students or adults who experience test anxiety or other difficultly pursuing a professional degree. Academic Associates Reading Program™ is the most effective methodology for reading instruction. It was developed by Cliff Ponder after years of frustration as a teacher and principal. Cliff has developed a very distinctive phonics-based reading program. The complete and authentic basis is the reason it is so successful with students of all ages. The program is successful with those diagnosed with dyslexia or other learning problems.

In addition to great tutoring programs we also provide other educational services such as the Irlen Method. This provides a unique service for some children and adults identified with reading and learning difficulties, low motivation, attention deficit disorder, or discipline problems.
